HISTORY AND THRUST:
CLW TRUST was founded in the
year of
2000 by starting of
an old age home and a tailoring training centre.
It was observed that old age people
were losing their status and position in their culture due to
circumstances beyond the control and due to survival necessities.
First an old age home was established and it was found that the old aged
were finding a home away from home and lived peacefully when they were
taken care of.
Medical facilities are available to them periodically.
All festivals are celebrated in the company of youngsters and children
who make the atmosphere homely with their presence.
Their psychological condition is a lot improved with the atmosphere
which is taken care of from time to time, in their interest.
They participate in many activities of the Trust. and feel their
importance.
Training in occupational trades such as
tailoring, cooking, nursing are also given to those sections of the socio economic people among the
marginalized,
especially from the villages around MADURAI city.
